Violet Students' Acrylic

Setting the benchmark for student acrylics since 1965!

Violet is a vivid blue-purple color, the name given to the last color in the visible spectrum. Violet pigments were once made from manganese and hematite and had been used in prehistoric cave paintings.

About Chromacryl Students' Acrylic

Chromacryl Students' Acrylics are fast drying, water-based acrylic paints that offers limitless possibilities and applications in the art classroom, around the home, or even at the office. Chromacryl’s new thicker formula allows students to develop varied and sophisticated adult painting techniques because it has the body and consistency of an artists’ acrylic. Chromacryl is AP-approved nontoxic, has superb paint coverage, and good water solubility.

Features

  • Fast drying, water-based student acrylics.
  • Not lightfast.
  • Dries to a brilliant, silky finish that is water resistant when dry.
  • Versatile paint offering the consistency and technical range found with more expensive artists’ color.
  • Uses a color mixing system that has been carefully designed to provide an enormous range of color possibilities.
  • Color does not flake or become chalky or dusty.
  • Non-toxic.
  • Thick consistency that makes it ideal for use with a spatula or palette knife. Mix with water to achieve watercolor effects.
  • Will paint on almost any surface: paper, fabric, wood, leather, plastic, perspex, glass, acetate, metal etc. When applied to paper, it increases papers strength.

Usage and Brushability

Use Chromacryl with brushes, rollers, sponges and spatulas. Chromacryl student acrylics can be used directly from the bottle, thinned with water or mixed with other Chromacryl colors. Wet brushes allow better control when painting with acrylic paint. Drying time will vary depending on temperature and humidity levels.
